Why do people stay stuck in poverty—even when resources and opportunities are available?
Join us for a 90-minute Bridges Out of Poverty community session designed to help us better understand the realities of poverty and explore how individuals, organizations, businesses, and community partners can work differently to create pathways toward stability.
During the session, we'll explore:
- How poverty affects the choices and opportunities available to individuals and families
- The hidden barriers that can make it difficult to move from crisis to stability
- How our assumptions about poverty can influence the way we serve and interact with others
- Practical ways businesses, schools, nonprofits, housing providers, healthcare organizations, and community members can respond more effectively
- How we can work together across organizations instead of addressing hunger, housing, employment, childcare, and other challenges in isolation

Designed for community leaders, directors, first responders, healthcare professionals, educators, nonprofit professionals, and anyone working to strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

In recognition of Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week, we're also holding a community food drive.
Bring a donation of nonperishable food items to the session and help local families and individuals experiencing food insecurity.
