About this Event
Think you know your coffee? Join us for Sip Society’s Brewers Cup, a three-round competition that tests your palate, your pour, and your recipe.
Round 1: Origin & Process
We’ll brew four coffees: one washed, one natural, one honey or anaerobic, and one co-ferment. You have five minutes to name each coffee’s origin and process. The three fastest, most accurate competitors move on.
Round 2: Brew to TDS
Pull a target TDS and a grinder (Zerno Z1 or Z2) from the fishbowl, then brew a V60 pourover to hit it. The two brewers who land closest to their number go to the final.
Round 3: The Final
Finalists pick their coffee, brew method, and grinder (Z1 or Z2), then build a filter recipe and an espresso recipe from the same coffee. Each finalist presents their coffee, brew method, and grinder choice to the judges.
