Spend your afternoon tasting, brewing and making coffee while meeting other singles at Layman Coffee Academy. No speed dating, no awkward one-to-one rotations. Just a hands-on experience designed to make mingling feel natural.

Sample coffees from Asia, America and Africa and discover how different origins, aromas and flavours shape what ends up in your cup.

Take on an 8-aroma sensory challenge featuring scents like chocolate, citrus, nuts, florals and spices. Compare answers with your group and find out whose nose deserves a career change.
☕ GET BEHIND THE ESPRESSO MACHINE
This isn’t just a tasting. Learn how to pull an espresso shot from scratch and froth silky milk yourself.
🤎 POUR YOUR FIRST LATTE ART HEART
Learn the basics of latte art and give it a go yourself. Beautiful heart, questionable blob, accidental onion... we’ll celebrate them all.
💬 MINGLE WHILE YOU MAKE
The activities are designed to get everyone chatting, laughing and interacting naturally throughout the afternoon. Forget forced speed dating. You’ll have plenty of reasons to talk without having to invent one.

You’ll also receive a Coffee Taster’s Passport with 3 servings of freeze-dried coffee for your own tasting experience at home.
🍵 NOT A COFFEE DRINKER?
You can choose coffee, matcha or chocolate for the hands-on drink-making portion. Oat milk is also available for dietary restrictions.

Refund Policy
- If a participant withdraws less than one (1) week before the event, event credit will be forfeited and no refund will be given.
- In the event that GaiGai cancels its event, there will not be a deduction of event credit.
- Unclaimed events/workshop are non-transferrable and will not be refunded.
- Any refunds made will incur a 10% admin fee from registration fee.
