About this Event
Two of the Okanagan’s most compelling musical voices are combining forces.
Joshua Smith and Brent Tyler, both standard-bearers of the vibrant Kelowna music scene, are touring through Alberta in October coming to the Cornerstone Cafe Friday October 23, 2026!
Far from a standard double-bill, this tour features Smith & Tyler sharing the stage simultaneously—delivering a dynamic, collaborative performance where they trade songs, back each other up, and weave harmonies in real time.
Joshua Smith brings a rich Nova Scotian musical lineage to the stage, captivating with his effortless silky smooth and soulful melodies, an east coast laid-back charm, and deeply poignant songwriting. A master-crafter of intimate, story-driven roots and folk music with a heartfelt hue.
Brent Tyler is a literal and musical Western-Canadian giant. Tyler’s soulful hooks and dynamic vocal range betray your assumptions contrasted against his seven foot football frame. Songs about real life— Heartbreak. Hope. Healing. Big Man. Big Sound. Big Love.
When Smith & Tyler combine forces, they bring a rare "brotherhood" and effortless chemistry born from over a decade+ performing together. Audiences can expect an interactive, soul-stirring evening filled with rich acoustic textures, powerful vocal hooks, entertaining storytelling, and honest, live original music. Two top-tier troubadours operating together as one unit.
Folk. Roots. Soul.
