For over a decade, the Brecon to Cardiff Classic has become one of the most popular and well-loved ultras in Wales.Starting in the heart of Brecon and finishing 70km later in on the outskirts of Cardiff, this fully marked point-to-point adventure follows the famous Taff Trail through mountains, forests, reservoirs, valleys and into the Welsh capital.
For many runners it is their first ultra marathon. For others, it's the chance to chase a fast time on a runnable route packed with stunning scenery and fantastic support.
The journey begins beneath the peaks of the Bannau Brycheiniog before passing crystal-clear reservoirs, dramatic waterfalls and historic valley communities, following the route south towards Cardiff. Every section brings a different landscape and a new perspective on South Wales.
As always, you'll be supported throughout by experienced marshals, fully stocked checkpoints, GPS tracking, transport to the start, free event photography and one of the warmest welcomes you'll find at a finish line.
Whether you're stepping up to your first ultra or returning to a race you've loved before, the Brecon to Cardiff Classic offers an unforgettable day on the trails.
