HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO PRACTICE YOGA BUT DIDN'T THINK IT WAS FOR YOU?In November Arlene Garrett is offering a 4-week series of Hatha yoga in a small group of 5-7 people at the Tara Centre, particularly suited to those who want to explore yoga practice which includes:
- breathwork
- mindful, gentle movement and
- time for rest and relaxation / meditation practice
Here's Arlene's invitation:
"Learning from my own experience, I have found that a gentle exploratory approach and regular practice yields the best results – whatever the style of Yoga you practice. I teach Hatha yoga with a strong focus on Somatic sensing - using our physical senses to develop deeper awareness to our muscles, joints and nervous system so that we can use our body sensitively.
My class follows a set structure, within which we ground and prepare the body for mindful and gentle movement, rest our nervous systems and find ways to move with natural support. We explore asana postures in more detail, particularly how to support your body and move between the postures. We also practice simple breath techniques to develop breath awareness. We finish with a good relaxation with some guided reflection or meditation practice".
Payment: Payment is on a sliding scale between £5.00 - £10.00 per class, pay what you can comfortably afford.

Dates and Time: Sunday evenings 6.00pm to 7.00pm on:
