About this Event
Breathwork: Breathe. Release. Restore.
Sunday, October 11 | 3:00–4:00 PM
Rising Up Yoga | Elm Grove, Wheeling, WV
Breathwork with Nancy Haynes, M.Ed.
What might be waiting for you on the other side of tension?
Breathwork begins with the breath—but the experience can move far beyond breathing.
This guided one-hour experience combines conscious breathing, inward awareness, meditation, and deep rest. Step away from the constant activity of your day and give your mind and body an opportunity to become quieter.
What does the science show?
Research on structured breathwork and controlled breathing has found benefits that include:
• Reduced stress
• Reduced anxiety and improved emotional well-being
• Improved autonomic regulation, including heart-rate variability
What do people report feeling?
Experiences vary, but three words come up again and again:
CALMER. Deeply relaxed and less tense.
CLEARER. Less mental noise and greater inward awareness.
LIGHTER. A sense of release, openness, and ease.
For some, breathwork becomes a doorway into meditation—a place where the mind quiets enough to notice what lies underneath the noise of everyday life.
Breathe. Release. Turn inward. Rest.
What to Expect
Nancy will guide you through breathing practices, inward awareness, meditation, and time for deep rest.
No previous breathwork or meditation experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and come prepared to give yourself one uninterrupted hour.
Space is limited. Advance registration is recommended.
