Getting started with breastfeeding can feel overwhelming—but with the right guidance and support, it can also feel empowering and deeply rewarding.At Healthy Babies, Happy Moms, our Breastfeeding Class is designed to help expectant parents feel prepared, informed, and confident as they begin their feeding journey with baby. Whether breastfeeding is your first plan or one part of your postpartum goals, this class offers practical education and supportive guidance to help you get off to a strong start.
This class is ideal for expectant parents, especially during the third trimester, and we encourage partners to attend as part of your support team.
Topics covered include:
• Benefits of breastfeeding
• Prenatal breast assessment
• Anatomy + physiology of breastfeeding
• Positioning baby + breast support
• Suckling patterns + achieving a comfortable latch
• Common breastfeeding concerns for both babies and mothers
Led by our experienced lactation team in East Greenwich, this class offers a welcoming space to ask questions, learn hands-on techniques, and feel more prepared for those first days and weeks with your baby.
Our goal is to help you feel supported and confident as you begin feeding your baby and build a strong foundation for your breastfeeding experience.
Registration is required and space is intentionally limited to keep class sizes comfortable and personalized. $75 per couple.
