Get ready for a fun filled day as we come together in person to support Type 1 Diabetes awareness. It's a great chance to meet new friends, enjoy the outdoors, and make a difference by raising money for finding a cure. Don’t miss out on this awesome community event!
Breakthrough T1D Walk & Picnic
Join us for an afternoon of connection, community and fun at McKenzie Trails. Make sure to also sign up with Breakthrough T1d to begin your fundraising.

Registration opens at 11:00 AM, followed by a picnic where families can relax, connect, and meet others who understand the day-to-day realities of living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Kids can participate in a T1D Friendship Bingo activity designed to help them meet other kids living with T1D. Completed bingo cards can be entered for a chance to win prizes!

11:00 AM: Registration Opens
11:00 AM–1:00 PM: Bring your own Picnic. Outdoor games
1:00 PM – Walk Begins (2 km, 3 km, and 5 km options)
Choose the distance that works best for your family, with routes ranging from 2 km to 5 km.
Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been living with T1D for years, this event is a chance to build friendships, share experiences, and spend time with others who truly get it.
Bring a picnic lunch, your walking shoes, and your T1D spirit. We look forward to seeing you there!
