Mental Health - Breaking the Stigma
Join us in person for an eye-opening event all about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Hosted by the Ghana Nurses Association, Illinois. This is an educational seminar designed to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and promote mental health education within the community, with a focus on the Ghanaian and African diaspora community. This event will feature keynote speakers, presenters, panelists, vendors, networking opportunities, and a question-and-answer session. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on identifying mental health concerns, knowing when to seek emergency help, supporting individuals and families, and understanding treatment options.
The program will also address topics including substance use disorders, harm reduction, depression, anxiety, suicide prevention, autism/ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, schizophrenia, grief, healing, and Medic*tion compliance. Let's come together to support each other and spread awareness.
