About the project
Breaking the Silence aims to address the issue of domestic abuse against males especially those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds within Greater Manchester. These men face unique cultural and systemic barriers that silence their experiences. The project aims to start the conversation by discussing and addressing the associated stigmas, gathering feedback from participants on the topic and connecting potentially affected individuals with known support services.
About the session
This session is an introduction and exploration into the topic of male victims of domestic abuse. Men will be taking part in a workshop designed to open a discussion into the stigmas facing male victims of domestic abuse and gather participants' thoughts and feedback on the topic.
