About this Event
Breaking the News: Journalism, Politics & the Future of Media
Join us for an exclusive fireside conversation with Geeta Guru-Murthy, BBC News Presenter, and Eleni Courea, Political Correspondent at The Guardian, as they share their experiences working at the forefront of British journalism and political reporting.
From covering major political developments to navigating the pressures of a 24-hour news cycle, our speakers will offer a behind-the-scenes perspective on the realities of working in journalism today.
The conversation will explore how the profession is evolving, including the growing influence of social media, artificial intelligence and changing audience expectations. What does a typical day look like for a journalist? How has reporting changed throughout their careers? And what does the future hold for those entering the profession?
Expect an engaging and candid discussion about the challenges, opportunities and personal experiences of working in modern media, followed by an opportunity for audience questions.
