Experience one of the most profound and beloved works in the choral repertoire—Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem.Unlike the traditional Catholic Requiem Mass, Brahms created his work using carefully selected passages from Scripture that focus on comfort, hope, and remembrance. The Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale will perform the Requiem in English, accompanied by Brahms’ own four-hand piano arrangement of the orchestral score, performed by pianists Marita and Brett Wolgast.
This intimate and powerful performance offers audiences a deeply moving reflection on life, loss, and consolation.
