DAY 2: LOHAJUNG – BEKALTAL

- Walk through ancient forests, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and cross small streams along the way.
- As you gain altitude, witness beautiful mountain landscapes and the changing forest scenery.
- Reach Bekaltal, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by dense oak and rhododendron forests.
- During winter, the lake often freezes completely, creating a beautiful snow-covered landscape.

- Participants should have a reasonable level of physical fitness for high-altitude trekking.
- The trek involves walking through snow-covered trails, forest paths and steep mountain sections.
- Weather and snow conditions may affect the actual trekking route and campsite arrangements.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the trek leader throughout the expedition.
- Mobile network connectivity becomes unreliable beyond Lohajung.
- ATMs are not available in Lohajung or further along the trekking route. Withdraw sufficient cash in Rishikesh or Karnaprayag.
- Carry appropriate winter clothing, waterproof trekking shoes, gloves, thermals and personal essentials.
- The trekking team may modify the itinerary in the interest of participant safety.
- Onward travel from Rishikesh should be booked with sufficient buffer time, as mountain road conditions may cause delays.
