🇮🇹 CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN ANIMATED SHORT CINEMA🟣 As part of this year’s Country in Focus Italy, the 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 invites audiences to discover the creativity and diversity of contemporary Italian animation.
Curated by the 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, the programme brings together six animated shorts that have travelled internationally and received recognition from some of the most important institutions and festivals in the world – including the David di Donatello Awards, the Academy Awards shortlist, Locarno and the Ottawa International Animation Festival. 🎭
From lonely souls searching for connection among the stars to a young woman’s journey towards a new life, from a puppet discovering humanity to a girl revisiting her grandmother’s past – these films offer very different perspectives on identity, relationships, memory and the world around us.
