BOWLS THE SHOW
Bowls for BrainPower is here -- LIVE -- November 12 in support of BrainPower in a Backpack, a largely student-supported community service program providing weekend meals to students in need across Burnsville, Eagan and Savage. BrainPower is funded entirely by donations and currently sends weekend food packages home to more than 800 children each week during the school year in District 191 along with providing a year round pop up food pantry -- 191 Community Pantry -- serving more than 150 families twice a week.
Join us for Bowls for BrainPower at Diamondhead from 11 am - 7 pm; make a free-will donation; pick out a beautiful handmade pottery creation and enjoy a delicious cup of soup in support of hunger relief efforts in our community.
Each empty bowl on display is a reminder that children in our community face empty bowls and hunger every day.
This year’s event will also feature a raffle of themed baskets of donated items from ISD 191 participating schools, families and community business and organizations. NOTE: Bring in 5 or more reusable grocery bags and receive 10 FREE RAFFLE TICKETS!!!
SOUP SERVICE provided by D Fong's Savage, Valley Natural Foods Burnsville, Kwik Trip Burnsville and BHS Culinary Arts Students.
SPECIAL TEA SERVICE provided by the MN Tea Society. Enjoy an selection of unique teas.
