So we’re making it easier.
Welcome to Make A Friend: Bowling Social, a Yinzers Meet experience designed for Pittsburgh adults who want to expand their social circle while doing something fun, casual, and naturally interactive.
We’re bringing together bowling, friendly competition, an upscale bar, conversation starters, professional photography, and a room full of people who are all there for the same reason:
to meet someone new.
This is a friendship-focused event, not a dating event.
👥 CHOOSE YOUR AGE GROUP
To help guests meet people in a similar stage of life, the event will be separated into two groups:
🎳 Ages 21–39
🎳 Ages 40–65
Single, married, dating, divorced, new to Pittsburgh, or born and raised here — relationship status doesn’t matter.
This event is about friendship.
🍸 START AT THE BAR
Before bowling begins, we’ll kick things off with a social hour inside the venue’s upscale bar and lounge.
Grab a drink, introduce yourself, and ease into the afternoon before teams hit the lanes.
We’ll also have Yinzers Meet conversation cards available with prompts designed to help you move past the usual:
"So… what do you do for work?"
Use them if you need a conversation starter, ignore them if you don’t.
🎳 THEN WE BOWL
After the social hour, guests will head to their assigned lanes for bowling and friendly competition.
You don’t need to be good.
Actually, being terrible might make you more fun to bowl with.
Expect team challenges, prizes, some light competition, and plenty of opportunities to talk while everyone plays.
The activity gives everyone something to focus on together, which makes meeting strangers feel much easier than walking into a traditional mixer.

The event takes place in the heart of Lawrenceville, giving you easy access to one of Pittsburgh’s best neighborhoods for food, drinks, and nightlife.
That also means the afternoon doesn’t necessarily have to end when bowling does.
If you meet people you click with, there are plenty of places nearby to keep hanging out afterward.

• Guests who are 40 may attend either session.
