About this Event
We always knew we'd be back, but whilst finalising the event with the Bourn Jammy band, some phenomenal local poets and the end of night return of Random Jams we found out Naomi Wood was on tour.
Never ones to waste a good opportunity we hip-hop, skip and a jumped at the chance to get her and the show down to our new favourite Boscombe venue, The Underground. She'll be performing the show at the start of the evening and all tickets for that will allow you entry for the entire night of recreational lyricism.
You can expect our band to be on top form, so we'll be looking for poets/MCs/Lyricists to get up and direct them on what sounds you'd like to accompany your words. Drop SGP an email if you'd like to sign up to perform - [email protected]

Naomi is a spoken word performer and theatre maker, celebrating rebellion and revelling in rage whilst maintaining a healthy preoccupation with the eroticism of bird feeders.
Her solo spoken word show Gobbess has toured the UK, with previous shows at Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury Festival and in Oslo. It has been described as 'Laugh-out-loud funny', 'delightful', 'raw, powerful and incisive', 'pure magic...unmissable' as well as a 'mic drop on women's experiences'. Naomi has been published by Backlash Press as well as Ink, Sweat and Tears, and Mslexia. She was recently shortlisted for The Bournemouth Writing Prize.
