About our Cottage Bakery - Sweet Creations by Cris
Who doesn’t love going out and doing something fun while also eating delicious cookies!? That’s what Sweet Creations by Cris is all about!
These classes are based in Redmond and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.
A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since November 2023 – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate is the Holidays – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!
Oh yeah - I have classes throughout the year which highlight different themes so make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you can get in on the cookie action!
Things to Bring to your Cookie Class
Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!
- Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.
- Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!
- Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.

ABOUT Postdoc Brewing
In the early 2000s, Tom Schmidlin named his garage brewery "Postdoc Brewing" while he completed a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. The name stayed with us, true to our science roots, and we opened to the public in 2014 in Redmond WA. Since 2024, we are grateful to include Kenmore in the Postdoc family.
We look forward to continuing to serve our Washington communities and beyond
