In the Month of November we will be hosting not one but TWO programs at the Botanic Garden! In honor of election day and the 250th anniversary of American independence, explore how early Americans preserved garden plants before modern refrigeration. Under expert guidance, you'll discover the science of crafting historic shrubs (drinking vinegars), herbal syrups, and tonics. You will muddle fresh garden herbs, balance flavor profiles, and mix your own handcrafted non-alcoholic elixir to take home.Instructors:
Morgan Dunn, Education Coordinator, Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University
Brad Savage, Programs Coordinator, Division of Continuing & Professional Education
This event is presented in partnership with Georgia Southern University’s Continuing and Professional Education.
