About this Event
As craft season arrives, what better way to honor the abundance of the growing season than through botanical watercolor? Join us for a creative afternoon of connecting with nature, slowing down, and capturing the beauty of the plants around us through art.
We’ll begin in the garden with Herbalist Alexa Robinson, who will guide you through a gentle embodiment practice to awaken the senses and deepen your connection with the natural world. From there, we’ll meander through the garden in search of a plant ally to serve as our muse.
Back in the apothecary, artist Angela Harken will lead a live demonstration, sharing tips for working with watercolor and pencil, exploring form, light, perspective, and orientation. Together, we’ll translate our sensory experiences into illustrations, approaching drawing not simply as a creative skill, but as a practice of mindfulness, curiosity, and presence.
No drawing experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and an open heart.
All materials will be provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own favorite art supplies if you wish.
