About this Event
You'll draw inspiration from the natural world of the Marin Art and Garden Center as well as art history and design to create holiday inspired collages in this guided workshop. Participants will learn how to make plants such as poinsettias, holly and Christmas cacti in paper for card giving or December-themed botanical art pieces.
No drawing or art experience is necessary to get a great result with this technique which invites cutting and tracing. We’ll cover color mixing with watercolors and discuss how a limited color palette can achieve a unified result as well as composition and best practices for clean gluing. All art making materials are provided!
Participants should feel confident handling an X-Aacto blade; parents of any children under 14 will be required to sign a waiver.
