About this Event
Join us at Carlisle Library for our new monthly BorrowBox Book Club.
Each month, BorrowBox features a selection of spotlight titles with unlimited access. We'll choose one of these titles for the group, giving you the option to enjoy it as either an eBook or an eAudiobook before meeting with fellow readers and listeners.
Whether you're an avid reader, an audiobook fan or completely new to reading groups, you'll be warmly welcomed to this relaxed and friendly discussion session.
This Month's Unlimited Title
As the group is new, we won't have a shared title to discuss at our first meeting on Tuesday 6 October. Instead, we'll spend time getting to know one another, sharing our favourite BorrowBox titles and discussing what we'd like from the group. We'll also select our title for the November session.
About the Event
Our reading group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 2.00pm to 3.00pm at Carlisle Library. Attendance is free.
Each session focuses on that month's chosen title, giving participants the opportunity to:
- Share their thoughts and opinions
- Explore themes, characters and ideas
- Discover new authors and genres
- Meet other local readers and listeners
The selected title will be available through BorrowBox, allowing you to choose the format that suits you best.

When: First Tuesday of the month, 2.00pm - 3.00pm
Cost: Free
Accessibility: Meetings are primarily held in person. To attend in person, select an In Person Attendance ticket. Online attendance via Microsoft Teams may be available if you're unable to attend. To join online, please select an Online Attendance ticket when booking. A joining link will be emailed to you before the event.
Who Can Attend?
This group is for adults who enjoy reading or listening to books and would like to discuss them in a welcoming and informal setting.
No previous reading group experience is required and new members are always welcome.
