About this Event
Books, cocktails, ice cream, and some of Knoxville’s favorite local businesses come together at Peter Kern Library for our Boozy Book Fair, an adults-only spin on the book fairs you remember.
Browse a wide variety of titles from Union Ave Books, Knoxville’s independent bookstore on Union Avenue, and The Bottom, a Black-affirming bookshop and nonprofit cultural organization dedicated to building community, celebrating culture, and supporting Black creativity in Knoxville.
Joining them is Ice Cream Queen, created by chef, author, and ice cream maker Lokelani Alabanza, whose inventive small-batch flavors celebrate Black foodways, storytelling, and the nostalgia and joy of ice cream.
The Peter Kern Library bar team will also pour a special menu of cocktails created for the occasion, with drinks inspired by each of our featured collaborators.
Grab a cocktail, browse for your next read, enjoy something sweet, and spend the afternoon supporting Knoxville’s local creative community.
Free to attend. Books, treats, and cocktails available for purchase. Plus, the first 50 drink orders will receive a special gift with purchase, while supplies last.
