Dear friends,Friends Indeed Canada invites you to the introduction of a new novel by Rafi Mustafa. It is a novel, right for the current times of polarization...
According to the Gospel, when Jesus Christ was led away to be crucified, he was compelled to carry his own cross - - both to deepen his humility and to make the people feel the might of Rome. Saleebain Apni Apni is a metaphor suggesting that every person must ultimately bear the burden of their own sorrows.
The novel is distinctive intellectual and emotional journey. It does not merely recount the lives of its characters; it draws the reader into a deeper reflection upon the self. On one level, it is a story of personal love, religious identity and social conflict; on another, it is a sincere search for interfaith harmony.
