Join us at the Invercargill Public Library for the launch of Shadbolt: Tim’s Final Chapter, a new book exploring Sir Tim Shadbolt’s final decade as Mayor of Invercargill. Written by former mayor and journalist Margaret Evans, the book brings together Sir Tim’s own writings with public records and media coverage to explore the question many people have asked: What happened to Tim?
Spanning 2013 to 2026, the book reflects Sir Tim’s wide-ranging interests, his love for Invercargill and his thoughts on local leadership, democracy and the issues affecting his community. It concludes with his Civic funeral in January, when thousands of people came together in person and online to remember him.
Come along to reflect on the life and legacy of one of New Zealand’s most recognisable mayors and mark the release of his final chapter.
The book is $40 plus postage and can be pre-ordered at www.thebestlittlebookstore.nz
