You are all invited to the book release party for Joe Hoffman’s first novel “Back to Candy Cane Lane: A Loving Tribute to Hallmark Christmas Movies”. This special celebration will take place on Saturday, November 7th from 5:30pm to 8:00 pm inside Kelly Hall at St. Pius X Catholic Church, which is located at 5500 Woodson Road Mission, KS 66202.
This party will include a dinner, where the meat will be provided by RJ’s Bob-Be-Que Shack and the event attendees will be asked to bring a pot-luck side dish that goes well with barbeque. Following dinner will be dessert that will feature Christmas cookies, hot cocoa, and candy canes (which will all be provided).
Also, after dinner, there will be a short presentation where Joe will recognize various people from his church, his grade school, his high school, and his community who have influenced his writing and his living a service-oriented life.
And once the presentation has concluded, Joe will do a brief reading from his first novel “Back to Candy Cane Lane: A Loving Tribute to Hallmark Christmas Movies”.
At the event, people will be able to purchase copies of Joe’s novel, Christmas cards that’ve been made from photos that Joe has taken, and other products that’ve been made from pictures taken by Joe.
Half of the proceeds from this special event will be donated to the incredible charity Unbound (Unbound.org) that is working to help people in many parts of the world get out of poverty. And the other half of the event’s proceeds will go to New Globe Productions (NewGlobeCharity.org), the charitable program that Joe established to provide assistance to great causes like Unbound and to help empower young people.
