My toes flicker and twitch inside the second-hand weightlifting shoes my trainer dug out of the lost-and-found bin and gave to me. A reminder that shreds of dead tumour are still entwined with my spinal nerves, that a twist of scar tissue ropes its way up my back, that I’m still healing. (It feels like I’m always healing.)

About the Book:
More Than a MILF is the only nonfiction literary anthology in recent years to zero in on sex in relationship to aging female and nonbinary bodies.A 70-year-old psychotherapist in Australia hires an escort. When he doesn’t give her what she asked for, she emails him to request a refund…A middle-aged woman in Lebanon is in the middle of a ménage à trois when bombs start exploding around the building…A teacher in their fifties reflects on decades of queer sex and concludes that they would rather eat cheese…
Featuring thirty diverse and disruptive voices, these stories both celebrate pleasure and interrogate why so much shame and pain still haunt the terrain.
This event is IN PERSON at , QC, Canada. Come early! We will be starting at 8:00 SHARP! Yay!
Who is Robyn Diner?
Dr. Robyn Diner works at the crossroads where sexuality, marginality and unruly female bodies intersect. With a focus on topics like autofiction, irony, and aging, her creative writing workshops make space where participants are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone—and write with an edge. For nearly three decades, she has delighted in offering courses across university, college and community spheres.
Robyn’s published work to date is a mashup of the autofictional, political and theoretical, and consists of stories like, “The Cougars of TikTok.” She lives in the Mile End of Montréal/Tiohtià:ke in Canada, where she is continuously amazed at the price of cute dresses at the thrift shops—never mind the cost of groceries.
