About this Event

Join us for the launch of bestselling author Jody Wilson-Raybould’s latest book,! Hosted by Dana Gee, Jody and co-author Roshan Danesh will discuss this exciting book followed by a book signing.

The evening will begin with a Traditional Welcome offered by Chepx̱imiya Siyam’ Chief Dr. Janice George of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).

The Honourable Dr. Jody Wilson-Raybould, PC, OBC, KC, is the former minister of justice and attorney general, a member of We Wai Kai Nation, a lawyer, a leader among Canada’s Indigenous Peoples, and the author of four bestselling books. She lives in Cape Mudge, BC.

Dr. Roshan Danesh, KC, is an internationally renowned lawyer and educator who has been on the frontlines of advancing Indigenous rights and reconciliation in Canada, and he has worked around the globe on issues of peace-building and conflict resolution. He has written or co-authored over twenty articles and books. He lives in Nanaimo, BC.

Based in Vancouver, Dana Gee is an arts reporter with the Vancouver Sun and The Province newspapers. Her work appears across the Postmedia chain. A journalist for close to 40 years, Dana began her career as a sports reporter at the Vancouver Province and after close to a decade switched to the arts and entertainment department and became a feature writer then the TV critic for the newspaper. During that time, she also began a broadcast career, most notably, for almost two decades, she was Global B.C. TV’s film critic and pop culture commentator. In her current role with Postmedia, Dana focuses on TV, film and book coverage.

Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Dr. Janice George is an hereditary chief from the Squamish Nation. She is a master weaver, educator, and trained museum curator. Chief Dr. Janice George received her Honorary Doctorate from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2025 for her dedication to sharing Coast Salish weaving and culture with her community and the world.
