CYPHER
Cypher (she/her) is a self-taught brown and queer Tamizh diaspora writer living in Canada. Her writing is deeply musical, political, philosophical, and introspective. Cypher’s poems have been featured by the Wildscape Literary Journal, OTHERSIDE, FLARE Magazine, Livina Press, FeelsZine and several other publications. She works during the day as an engineer, and all her time outside of work is split between building community and creating art. Ideally both - simultaneously.
EMILY DE ANGELIS
Emily De Angelis comes from a long line of visual artists, musicians and storytellers. Prior to a long career as a teacher in Sudbury, Ontario, where she was born and raised, Emily was a Children/YA Librarian with both the City of York and the City of Toronto. She has spent many years developing her writing through independent study, workshops, conferences and courses. An active member of the literary community, Emily has had poetry and short stories published in various anthologies. Emily’s debut YA novel, The Stones of Burren Bay (Latitude 46 Publishing), was published in 2024. The magical realism story follows the protagonist Nori on her journey through grief and healing. Her current YA project, entitled For the Sake of Mercy, is also a magical realism story exploring forgiveness in the face of unspeakable tragedy. She is wintering in Woodstock, Ontario, while spending summers on her property on Manitoulin Island.
SHELBY MARIE
Shelby Marie is a Canadian poet and small business owner. She loves antique things, everything autumn brings, and when she's not writing poetry, you'll often find her curled up with a book or journaling. Her debut poetry book, "To Walk on Moonbeams" is a story of heartbreak, the power in healing, and the beauty that comes with letting go. Her second poetry book, "To Dance in Stardust" is an illustrated collection about falling for the right person at the wrong time. It asks us the question - is it worth fighting through our pain to rekindle that love when the time is right?
