Contrapposto follows Cricket, a gifted young artist, and Olympia, the fearless friend who recognizes his talent, across six decades. Their relationship shifts between friendship, love, collaboration, and loyalty as they navigate the challenges of making meaningful work. Cricket is drawn to the act of creating, while Olympia is more comfortable with the business of art. Against this backdrop, Eggers explores artistic integrity, commerce, friendship, and what it means to remain true to a creative life.
