LIVE OAKBoo-tanical Exchange brings Halloween twist to garden exchange
The Santa Cruz Garden Exchange will host a Halloween-themed Boo-tanical Exchange from 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Live Oak Grange, 1900 17th Ave., Santa Cruz.
This month’s Boo-tanical Exchange gets an extra taste of fall! Lauren’s Sourdough Kitchen will be our featured baker, bringing her famous blue-ribbon, first-place sourdough pumpkins to the exchange.
Community members are invited to bring plants, cuttings, seeds, bulbs and garden items to share. Spider plants, carnivorous plants, dark-leaved plants, unusual succulents and other spooky botanical finds are especially welcome. Costumes for people and pets are encouraged, and Halloween treats will be shared.
The exchange is free and open to everyone. No contribution is required to participate. Attendees are encouraged to bring a mug and reusable bags for anything they take home.
