Bonnet Making Masterclass - "Entre Chismosas"

Across two weeks, the house opens up for workshops, panels and shared moments centred on fashion, artistry and a little chisme.

For this session, we’ll be learning how to construct a satin hair bonnet from scratch.

Bonnet culture is rooted in care, protection and everyday ritual. In this hands-on workshop, participants will cut fabric, sew curved seams and insert elastic to produce a professionally finished satin bonnet.

You’ll learn:

• How to measure and cut fabric accurately
• Sewing curved seams
• Inserting elastic for a secure, comfortable fit
• Finishing techniques for a clean, professional look

As an added touch, we’ll also make a drawstring bag to safely store your bonnet in.

The workshop is beginner-friendly and structured with step-by-step guidance throughout. No prior sewing experience is required.
