About this Event
Are you someone who has a love for oddities, nature, the macabre, and all things spooky? Then this is for you.
Work alongside Jo of The Dead Moon Studio and create your own bone jewelry using real flowers, glitters, dyes and ethically sourced bones in this workshop.
The Dead Moon Studio will be hosting classes at Hive & Forge in witch city, Salem, MA during our favorite time of year. You will get to choose to create either a necklace or ring to take home with you.
Each class will be 90 minutes long. We will begin with going over the tools and materials we will be using, watch a step-by-step demo on how to create our jewelry, and go over some tips and tricks when working with UV resin. Attendees will then be able to choose everything they'd like to use including the pendant, bone, flowers, glitters, color dyes and more. Jo will be alongside you during every step answering questions and helping you to create a hauntingly beautiful piece of jewelry that is uniquely your own.
No prior resin or jewelry-making experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. If you have your own bone you'd like to bring to use, that's perfectly fine, just contact Jo ahead of time.
Choose Your Materials
All guests will have access to the following supplies for their new jewelry:
- Dried flowers
- Color dyes
- Shark teeth
- Rattlesnake vertebrae
- Coyote toe bones
- Misc roadkill bones
- Misc roadkill teeth
- Glitter
You will have a variety of bezels to choose from, and can create either:
- A resin pendant necklace
- A fully adjustable resin ring
The Dead Moon Studio will add a jump ring and chain to all necklaces before you leave.

Important Workshop Details

- All bones and specimens are ethically sourced.
- Rings are fully adjustable.
- All bezels are hypoallergenic alloy metals.
- We will be using UV resin.
- All supplies, tools, and materials are included.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Each session is currently only open for 10 participants.
