Bollywood Dance Classes in San Mateo
Join us for our weekly Indian dance class and step into the diverse, enchanting world of Indian dance and cinema. In this class, you will learn fun, feel-good choreographies to hit songs from Bollywood, and other regional film industries such as Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam
The choreographies will be a lively blend of folk (Kuthu, Bhangra, Garba), western, and semi-classical dance styles, celebrating the rich variety of Indian movement and expression. One of the most beautiful aspects of Indian “filmy” dance is its ability to transcend boundaries, with no strict rules or restrictions, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, the class is designed to help you learn and groove with ease—just bring your love for music and a willingness to move. Each week focuses on a 1-2 minute choreography for a new track. Every class includes a light warm-up, step-by-step breakdown, and multiple repetitions so you leave feeling confident and filmy. Over time, you will get familiar with various Indian dance styles, build confidence, and develop performance skills in a supportive environment.
WEEKLY CLASS SCHEDULE:
- TUESDAYS 7PM - 8PM (this is an all levels class, everyone is welcomed)
