BODYDREAMING VIECOTONE — THE SPACE BETWEEN

Heat. Cold. Scent. Sound. Music. Stillness.
For our final gathering of the year, Bodydreaming enters the ecotone — the place where different worlds meet, overlap and become something else.
An afternoon designed to awaken the senses and shift the way you experience your surroundings.
We begin at AUTM HAUS, the riverside social wellness space in Fish Island, Hackney Wick, moving between cedar sauna, cold plunge and live music from 2pm–4pm.
AUTM HAUS sits beside the River Lea, offering a space to move between heat, cold, water and rest.
Then, at 4pm, the lights change and the sound takes over.
For two and a half hours, musicians and sound artists will build a continuous journey through voice, cello, guitar, field recordings and ambient electronics.
Api Api Asasco brings multi-instrumental performance, voice and ancient sounds.
Boondlllx brings live cello, adding a rich, resonant and deeply physical layer to the room.
Seb Camm brings live guitar into the evolving soundscape.
Move Tomove and Ollie, residents of Animism and Bodydreaming, shape the electronic landscape around them, moving between ambient textures, field recordings and spacious sound.
Amy Glover will create a bespoke scent for the day, extending the ecotone beyond sound and into the atmosphere itself.
THE JOURNEY
1.45pm— Arrival
2–4pm — Sauna, cold plunge + live music
4–6:30pm — Extended live sound journey
6:30pm onwards — Ambient sound continues into the evening
And we don't end abruptly.
After the main journey, Animism × Bodydreaming residents will continue the ambient soundscape into the evening, leaving space to stay, connect, integrate or simply listen.
Because sometimes the most interesting part of an experience is what happens afterwards.
THE ECOTONE
In nature, an ecotone is where two ecosystems meet.
A forest becomes grassland.
A river meets the sea.
It is neither one world nor the other.
It is the space between.
Bodydreaming explores that space through sound, sensation and community.
Ancient and contemporary.
Organic and electronic.
Nature and city.
Body and sound.
Individual and collective.
For one afternoon, these worlds meet.
