Join us at Barn Owl Brewing for an engaging, TED Talk–style talk with Sam Foster, Director of Education & Comms at Exposed Wildlife Conservancy and a passionate advocate for lifelong learning, healthy ecosystems, and safe communities.
Sam brings extensive experience in civic ecology, education, conservation, and government policy, having worked with communities ranging from rural mountain towns to urban centres. Through community-based programming, she helps people of all ages better understand the wildlife we share our landscapes with.
In this informal and thought-provoking talk, Sam will explore what it really means to live alongside bears, cougars, wolves, and their prey. Discover the facts and figures behind wildlife coexistence and how we can better adapt our neighbourhoods to safely share space with our wild neighbours. This isn't your average bear-safety talk — expect straight-talking, science-backed, and playful conversation that may just change the way you see the wild around you.
