Blues dance is a family of Black American social dances (some solo, some partnered) that coevolved with different styles of Blues music throughout history, starting in the late 1800s and extending through today. Blues dance celebrates freedom of expression within community, improvisation, rhythm, and more!
Fusion is a partner dance community, dancing to musical styles running the gamut from electronica to pop, inspired by whatever you bring, with frequent influences from blues dancing, tango, contact improv, West Coast swing, hip-hop and ecstatic dance.
**Evening schedule**
7-8pm: Class topic to be announced
8-9pm: Beginner blues class
9-11pm: DJed blues & fusion dance party

Sliding scale $10-25, free for volunteers & staff. No one turned away due to lack of funds. Cash or Venmo at the door.
