But don't despair! Tonight's show will be a fun one with the Blues Directors, a longtime Boise-area blues band closely associated with the Idaho Blues Society, and the Sapphire Room season is just around the corner.
The Blues Directors band was originally formed with several members of the IBS board of directors—hence the name—and have played hundreds of shows over the years. Known for their seasoned musicianship, soulful vocals, expressive harmonica, and blues-rich guitar work, the group delivers everything from deep Chicago blues and Texas shuffles to upbeat jump blues and memorable originals. Their passion for preserving and celebrating the blues shines through in every performance, making each show a favorite among dancers and dedicated blues fans alike.
