Attention all blues bands! Our 2026/2027 application to compete in our Blues Challenge is open! The Blues Society of Tulsa is proud to announce the IBC local Blues Challenge for 2026/2027, to be held on Thursday, October 8th, at VFW Post #577, 1109 E. 6th Street in Tulsa.Both the solo/duo and band contests will be held the same evening, with doors at 6pm. The solo/duo challenge will begin at 7pm, and the band challenge beginning shortly after.
The contest will follow the IBC rules and operations as they will be on January 19-23, 2027, on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, including judging criteria and complete backline provided for all entrants.
Admission for the general public is $10 at the door.

There is no fee for entry.
Application deadline is August 31, 2026.
