Host Cory Bryars takes the helm for Blues Kitchen Live! as we explore the towering legacy of legendary folk-blues giant Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter.Across two curated hours, Cory dives deep into the songs that shaped American music—tracing Lead Belly’s raw 12-string acoustic originals such as "Midnight Special", "Cotton Fields" and "Black Betty." Alongside the originals we'll hear classic covers by artists who brought his catalog to new generations, from Ry Cooder and Little Richard to Creedence Clearwater Revival and Led Zeppelin.
We’ll pair rich background history and archival tracks with a full, room-filling presentation on our reference-grade audio system, highlighting every ringing guitar chord, driving foot-stomp, and booming vocal performance with pristine analog realism.
Pull up a chair, order a signature cocktail from the bar, and experience the timeless roots of American blues in pure hi-fi sound.
