Bluebloods
Did you just find yourself at a warehouse party? Or maybe a prairie Ukrainian community hall? These rustbelt roosters keep you guessing. Manitoba-based Bluebloods play music that feels like a gaggle of hosers crashing a Mennonite Social, with groovetunes and smoky ballads that explore Manitoba’s historic strikes, urban back allies and wheat fields. Bluebloods' deput LP Discount Everything (2026) follows on Bluebloods’ EP, Make It Rain, which the Winnipeg Free Press called a “profound statement of intent from an emerging artist whose work will soon be sought after” in their four star review.
Zrada
In 2006 a conspiracy of Ukrainian language musicians in Winnipeg came together as Zrada and have been making some of Canada’s most innovative psych-folk music ever since. Drawn together by their love of Ukrainian folk-music and all things metal, Zrada’s music began as both a tribute to tradition as well as a cultural wrecking ball. Prog-rock keyboards, dueling accordions and violins, heavy guitars and drum sounds from the abyss mercifully come together to create a truly transformative sonic experience. Zrada has performed throughout Canada on festival stages and are a mainstay in Winnipeg’s diverse scene.
French Class
French Class is an electronic dance pop project led by Megumi Kimata, a beat maker based in Winnipeg. A festival favourite, French Class makes you want to put on fresh sneakers, grab your friends and get on the dance floor. Megumi works in collaboration with Gabriela Ocejo, Tiana Garcia with her jazz influenced vocals and hot power couple Lindsay Woolgar with Kevin Waters jamming in the rhythm section.
