With more than 5,000 attendees expected, the festival will offer interactive experiences, live demonstrations, family activities, food, entertainment, and opportunities to meet the people behind the badge.
It’s a day to connect, learn, celebrate, and discover what we can accomplish when we work together to protect what matters most.
The Blue & You Initiative is a year-round effort to build trust and strengthen connections between the San Diego Police Department and the people it serves.
Through youth mentorship, community events, volunteer opportunities, and positive interactions with officers, Blue & You creates meaningful ways for residents and law enforcement to connect outside of emergencies and enforcement.
These experiences build understanding, foster trust, and help young people see officers as neighbors, mentors, and members of their community.
The initiative supports community and youth programs that bring officers and residents together throughout the year, including Cadets, School Safety Patrol, Gang Intervention, Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol, Crisis Intervention, National Night Out, Coffee with a Cop, Shop with a Cop, and other community engagement activities.
Together, these programs create opportunities for young people, families, volunteers, and officers to connect, learn from one another, and make a lasting impact.
