About this Event
Join Little Nestlings for a gentle morning of creativity, kindness, and community care.
During Blooms of Kindness, children will be invited to explore an open-ended art experience inspired by the many ways we can care for other people. Children might create a colorful kindness bloom, a small gift of art, or their own visual story about helping someone feel welcomed, supported, and seen.
We are delighted to welcome Patti Serres and volunteers from Bloomin’ Boutique as our featured Community Saturday partners.
Bloomin’ Boutique is an Oregon City nonprofit that provides new clothing, shoes, bedding, and personal-care items to children and youth experiencing hardship. The organization serves children from infancy through age 18 with support provided through schools, child-welfare agencies, and other community organizations.
Families attending the event are invited to contribute to an optional comb and hairbrush drive for Bloomin’ Boutique.
Optional Items to Bring
Families may bring one or more:
- New, unused combs
- New, unused hairbrushes
- Baby brushes
- Brushes or combs appropriate for school-age children or teens
- Hair-care tools suitable for different hair types and textures
Bloomin’ Boutique serves children and youth from infancy through age 18, so donations for any age within that range are welcome.
Donations are appreciated but never required. Every family is welcome to attend and participate, whether or not they bring an item.
Complimentary Art Kits
Bloomin’ Boutique will also provide a complimentary take-home art kit to the first 20 children who participate in the event.
Art kits are available while supplies last. Registration does not guarantee that an art kit will be available, and no purchase or donation is required.
