Why Blokes Lunch?
There are nearly 60,000 blokes in Greater Bendigo.
We should probably get more of them talking to each other!
Around 18% of our population is currently aged 35–49, with another 12% aged 50–59.
That's a lot of blokes right in the stage of life where careers are busy, businesses are being built, kids are being raised, parents are getting older, mortgages are being paid and somewhere along the way maintaining friendships can quietly slide down the priority list.
That's one of the reasons for creating Blokes Lunch Bendigo.
Not because Bendigo needs another "event". Lord knows - we have plenty of EVENTS...
Bendigo has a huge amount of experience, knowledge, business capability and community leadership sitting inside its male population - and on bikes!
We need to regularly put some of those men in the same room - and see what happens.
Sit a tradie beside a surgeon.
A business owner beside a teacher.
A banker beside a young bloke trying to work out what comes next.
A bloke who's been through some hard years sitting beside someone knee deep in them right now.
The idea is a simple, powerful and proven one:
Good food.
Good conversation.
New connections.
Once a month.
