Join us on Thursday 29 October, 4:30pm to 6:30pm for a workshop led by Animating Education, where will learn about all things stop-motion!
For 13 to 16-year-olds only.
What is your experience of Southend-on-Sea? What kind of story would you like to tell?
Bring your drawings to life! With paper, pens, and scissors we will create our own narrative worlds and learn how to animate them using iPads.
Using stop motion as a medium, we will reflect on our communities and tell tales about the place where we live.
No experience required – just bring your imagination
About Animating Education:
Animating Education CIC brings filmmaking and animation to children and young people across London, Essex and the South East. Working with partners including the Design Museum, the Roald Dahl Museum and Camden Summer University, we give young people the tools, skills and creative freedom to tell their own stories, explore their ideas and bring them to life on screen. Recent highlights include working alongside the Wes Anderson: The Archives exhibition at the Design Museum, where we will be returning for the upcoming LAIKA exhibition. animatingeducation.co.uk
About Blank Slate:
Blank Slate is our monthly group for ages 13 to 16, bringing you something fresh, fun, and inspiring on the last Friday of every month 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Our mission is to create a space where you can unleash your creativity through workshops, talks, tours, and outings to other art spaces and galleries. You’ll get to meet and hang out with professional artists and creatives, gaining inspiration and insight into the art world.
