Discover a creative way to explore words, art, and self-expression during our Teen Blackout Poetry event! This unique art form combines writing and visual creativity by transforming existing text into a brand-new poem. Participants will start with a page of text and use their imagination to select, arrange, and highlight words that create a new message, idea, or feeling. Through the process of removing words, teens will discover hidden meanings and unexpected connections while creating a one-of-a-kind piece of literary art. Blackout Poetry is a fun and approachable way to experiment with creativity. So join us this Saturday afternoon and see what kind of story you can uncover! Plus, as it’s October, this session will focus on using the works of Edgar Allan Poe
