Learn gothic calligraphy and letter your own holiday gift tags and cards. Dip pen and all supplies included.About this Event
Your gift tags are about to look like they came from a medieval monastery. In the best way.
Blackletter (aka gothic calligraphy) is that dramatic, old-world lettering you see on illuminated manuscripts and vintage holiday cards, and it's a lot more learnable than it looks. Coralie will walk you through it stroke by stroke, then you'll put it straight to work on tags and cards.
What we'll do
- Learn the gothic alphabet, from the basic strokes to full letters
- Practice with guide sheets until it starts to feel natural
- Letter some holiday gift tags (or take them to do at home)
- Letter one holiday card and envelope (or take it to do at home)
Included
- Your own calligraphy pen to keep
- Ink and guideline practice paper
- A printed gothic alphabet to take home and keep practicing
- Gift tags, a card and an envelope
No calligraphy experience needed. Messy first letters are part of the process, and you'll be surprised how quickly it clicks.
Spots are capped so Coralie can get to everyone's nib. Tickets are non-refundable, but you can pass yours to a friend if life happens.
