About this Event
Black Women and Menopause: A Community Conversation
Perimenopause and menopause can affect nearly every part of our lives — from sleep, mood, and energy to relationships, work, and long-term health. Yet Black women’s experiences are too often missing from mainstream conversations about midlife health.
Join for an evening of connection, a screening of The M Factor 2: Before the Pause, expert insight, and candid conversation centered on the lived experiences of Black women navigating the menopause transition. This community gathering is designed to create space for the questions we may not always get to ask, the experiences we may not always see reflected, and the information we need to make informed decisions about our health.
Black women may experience menopause differently, including an earlier transition and a greater burden of vasomotor symptoms, while also facing persistent gaps in access to informed, culturally responsive care. This event brings together health experts and community voices to make those experiences visible and create a conversation grounded in evidence, empathy, and real life.
