Formed in 2013, Black Water County fuse pop-punk urgency with folk instrumentation, delivering high-energy shows built for both moshing and merriment. Relentless touring across the UK and Europe has seen them appear at major festivals including Boomtown, WOMAD, Beautiful Days, Belladrum and Camp Bestival, as well as shows across Germany, Belgium, France and beyond.
The band have released three independent albums — Taking Chances (2017), Comedies and Tragedies (2020) and The Only Life Worth Living (2023) — all produced and mixed by Lewis Johns (The Ranch), the latter featuring a guest vocal from Hannah Greenwood of Creeper. Winners of Fireball’s Fuelling the Fire Tour in 2016 and 2018, they’ve supported the likes of Flogging Molly, Less Than Jake and The Bronx, earning praise from Kerrang! and BBC Radio for their explosive live performances.
Ultimately though, it was Black Water County who landed themselves a place on the stage with Flogging Molly.. The Emerald Isle-influenced six piece started the first moshpit of the evening and cemented themselves as the judges’ favourite. Kerrang Features – Fuelling the Fire Tour
